The Mayor is subordinate to the City Board and directs the city’s administration, financial management and other activities. Annual priorities and objectives are determined by the policies given in the city’s strategy and budget, and according to the current outlook of the local government sector. The Mayor is the presenting officer to the City Board and is responsible for preparing matters for handling by the City Board.
The Management Group is responsible for managing the city’s strategy, finances, human resources and development activities, determining the city’s shared policies, and arranging communications and flow of information. The Management Group consists of the Mayor and the Directors of Divisions, among other members.
