Kalott Jazz & Blues

The Kalottjazz & Blues Festival is organized in Tornio and Haparanda on the week following Midsummer. The festival is one of the symbols of the close-knit and internationally unique cooperation between the two border cities.

Its program features Finnish and Scandinavian jazz and blues performed in the new festival area, in addition to the traditional church concert. Celebrating its place at the intersection of Finnish and Swedish culture, the festival invests ambitiously in the quality of its program. The festival gives the stage to both household names and up-and-coming jazz and blues performers, to the delight of music enthusiasts and the general public alike.
