The new shared event calendar for Tornio and Haparanda has now been launched. The calendar brings together events from both sides of the border in one place, making them easier to find for residents, visitors and event organisers alike.
The digital calendar features a wide variety of events, from culture and sports to markets and activities for the whole family. The aim is to make it easy to find events in the area from one shared calendar.
The calendar also offers event organisers a free channel for promoting their events. Starting today, organisers can add their own events to the calendar.
More visibility for events
The shared platform gives events more visibility and helps them reach a wider audience in both Finland and Sweden.
“The new event calendar makes it easier for residents and visitors to explore the wide range of events and activities available in the Twin City. At the same time, organisers now have a shared channel for promoting their events,” say Jukka Kujala, Mayor of Tornio, and Roger Danell, Municipal Director of Haparanda.
The calendar is part of the ongoing cooperation between Haparanda and Tornio. The goal is to develop cross-border activities and make the area even more connected, attractive and vibrant.
